We did the tourist tour of the old town this morning, there were some great old wooden bridges, one with some pretty grim paintings. We climbed a tower on the old city defences and were surprised to see a party of Swiss schoolchildren graffiti their names onto the walls of the 14th-century fortifications, their teacher sitting watching.
After lunch, we did some shopping and then returned to our campsite for a swim in The Lido. I feel a bit cheated by the Lido which was just a cordoned off area of the lake where you can swim for a 6 francs entry fee. I could have walked around the side and had a swim for free. Lake Luzern is surprisingly warm considering the water comes from the snow on the surrounding mountains.
