Day 56: Graz

Sunday May 29, 2005

I’m told the swimming pool measures 100m x 120m and is heated naturally, it’s certainly the biggest I’ve ever seen.

We’re planning to spend today lazing in the sunshine, I’ve had a throat infection which has been getting worse over the last few days, and it’s now turned into a bit of a cold, so hopefully I can shake it off in the sun.

The radio is good in Austria, much better than some of the drivel we’ve had put up with through France and Germany. FM4 is excellent; they play some really good stuff both new and old and avoid most pop music. The news is occasionally in English which is a bonus because neither of us speaks much German.

I managed 21 lengths of the giant pool today, that’s 2,520m which is over 2.5 km.

The campsite has no shop and it’s Sunday again so we had to pick up our dinner from a petrol station: pasta and a cheapo sauce, tasty but expensive for simple food.
