Day 182: Alicante –to Cartagena

Sunday October 2, 2005, 117 km (73 miles) – Total so far: 11,212 km (6,967 miles)

I was still sick, but we set off anyway. It was a flat ride down to Cartagena with the wind behind us. It would have been great if I hadn’t felt so awful.

Cartagena is very different from our previous Spanish town experiences. There are virtually no tourists here. I’m sure it being Sunday doesn’t help, but nothing was open. We found some McDonalds ‘food’ for dinner; 2 fish burgers and an ice-cream. It was about all I could get down my ulcer infested throat anyway.
