Day 170: Solsona to Barcelona

Tuesday September 20, 2005, 124 km (77 miles) – Total so far: 10,480 km (6,512 miles)

We enjoyed a tasty Chinese meal last night and a good night’s sleep in our comfortable hotel in Solsona. It was a nice ride down to our lunch stop at Manresa before the roads became busy as we approached Barcelona. Lovely countryside, but not great for cycling.

We’ve checked into a reasonable campsite about 14km from the centre of Barcelona. It’s pretty cheap at €€15, but the guy working in the reception was rude.

It is much warmer down here, summer’s back! I might try for a dip in the sea whilst we’re here.
