Day 155: The Ardèche

Monday September 5, 2005

We managed 24 kilometres today – in a canoe. The weather was not ideal, but it meant the river was not too busy.

It was a really great day, we hired a 2-man boat and paddled down the river. At the first set of rapids, Agata decided to take an unplanned swim but we managed to navigate the rest of the way from inside the boat.

An excellent way to see the gorge and it was good value too at €€24 per person, which works out at €€1 per km.
