Great places, great countryside, it’s lovely here in Provence. Today we passed through Allemagne with a pretty chateau and the busy spa town of Gréoux.
I burst another tyre on my rear wheel; the tourist office in Gréoux said the nearest cycle shop was in Manosque, so I rode a few kilometres with the inner tube poking through the side of the tyre. We bought a couple of French-made Hutchinsons, one for Agata’s front wheel and one for my rear wheel; we’ll see how they fare.
I broke another spoke too but on the side I can fix myself so after a quick roadside repair we picked up a cycle path that led us through the Parc Naturel Regional du Luberon and eventually to Apt. It was great to be riding on cycle paths again. It felt like we were back in Austria.
The municipal campsite in Apt is a bargain at €7.70 for the night, it’s a very good site too.
