Today was tourism day in Dublin. It was also the penultimate day of this year’s Tour de France. Darren has been to Dublin before, in fact he spent a whole week here a few years back and has seen most of the obvious tourist stuff – so he opted for a day in a pub watching the cycle racing. Carlos Sastre is poised to win his first Tour de France if he can hold it together in today’s time trial.
Michal, despite being a six-month resident of Dublin, hadn’t seen all of the city’s highlights so joined Agata and me (that’s Justin) for a day of sightseeing. We must have walked 10 km today, the pics will give you a fair idea of the ground we covered. Dublin is a great city and I would recommend anyone to visit, you need longer than a day though!
We ate lunch in an authentic Polish restaurant and hooked up with Darren after a tour of the famous Guinness factory. We enjoyed a few early evening drinks before heading back to Michal’s place – we have an early start again tomorrow.
