Day 148: Castellane

Monday August 29, 2005

We need to rest our knees. I still have a very painful knee joint and only managed to get through yesterday’s ride by taking rather large doses of Ibuprofen which, although effective, is probably not an ideal long-term solution. So we’re off the bikes again in the charming town of Castellane.Castellane is one of our favourite places

Castellane is one of our favourite places so far. We’re high up in the Provencal Alps at 700m above sea level, it’s a great setting and the campsite is excellent.

We’re really looking forward to riding through the canyon in the morning, having seen all the postcards in the village, it looks amazing.
