Day 112: Comacchio to– S. Mauro a Mare

Sunday July 24, 2005, 119 km (74 miles) – Total so far: 6,724 km (4,178 miles)

We enjoyed a relatively flat ride again today as we’re still in the Po Delta, it’s fairly easy cycling and therefore possible to cover quite long distances very quickly. We’re camping tonight by the sea just north of Rimini (our tent is pitched right next to the railway track. I hope the trains don’t run all night). Camping Green is a pleasant enough site but unfortunately seems to be infested with mosquitoes.

It’s all private beaches along this coast and looks likely that they stretch well past Rimini, there are row upon row of sunbeds for hire at stupid rates. We saw another Condor rider’s tent pitched in what appears to be the car park of a campsite by the beach.
