Day 11: Mimizan –to Arcachon

Thursday April 14, 2005, 88 km (55 miles) – Total so far: 655 km (407 miles)

Our old friend the rain returned today, but it was a great ride mostly on cycle paths again.

We’re staying in an excellent youth hostel at La Teste de Buch, near Arcachon. We have our own chalet with en-suite shower room and a giant double bunk-bed. There’s also a small lounge which we may have to share if other guests show up, and we’re also to be served a three-course meal which is all part of the deal for €€26 each.

We are both looking forward to a warm night’s sleep in our chalet. The past three or four nights in the tent have been VERY cold.
